About Age-Wise Business Solutions
Lucky Lauridsen, RN PID, founder of Age-Wise Business Solutions, brings over 35 years of healthcare experience. She started as a hospital volunteer at 15 and advanced through roles as a Care Aide, Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, and owner-administrator of a senior living community. Driven by a deep desire to help others, she is now a Certified Adult Educator and dedicated Teacher of Self-Compassion.
Given her extensive background in healthcare, Lucky recognized that many younger employees struggled to understand the challenges of aging. When she witnessed a senior being mistreated by a frontline worker, she was inspired to create the Elder-Host Training Certificate™, a program designed to help employees approach interactions with older adults through a compassionate lens, ensuring they receive the dignity and respect they deserve.
Her desire to help extends to caregivers who are facing mounting stress in a healthcare system with a critical shortage of workers. Having experienced the overwhelming stress that can lead to burnout, Lucky created Nurturing the Caregiver Within™. This program, based on the teachings of Dr. Chris Germer and Dr. Kristin Neff, is designed to foster self-compassion and resilience among caregivers, empowering them to thrive, stay in their roles, and ultimately improve the quality of care.
